If there has been one thing I’ve learnt over the last few months, it’s that resilience is not about how strong you are, but rather your ability to break things down to bite size pieces – really taking things day by day, and not getting caught up in the feelings of today or the ‘what ifs’ of tomorrow.
If I’m completely honest, I’m one of those panicky people. I do it on the inside, questioning everything and anything – often thinking of the worst case scenario just so I can “prepare”myself. It’s not the healthiest approach, but I’ve slowly learnt to just deal with the facts of today and talk about my frustrations and fears. It’s unbelievable how such a little change in mindset (focusing on facts) can ultimately change the outcome of your performance and longterm health.
