Fighting Fit

There are two things most people get surprised about when they first meet me;

  1. I have energy, and lots of it! I am one of those people that bounce off walls from the early morning to late at night.
  2. I’m a worrywart! I stress about everything and everyone and find it difficult to ‘let -go’.

So what’s this got to do with anything?  Well, high energy and stress levels have meant fitness and health have always been high on my priority list (I exercise  5-6 days a week)… and when you look at my fitness choices, they are perfectly suited to my personality. Does anyone else find that?

I’m a runner; I love, love, love running. Nothing makes me feel more satisfied and exhausted. Running is what I do when I don’t know what to do – it’s my escape and has been since I was a child.

Pilates; I’ve only started in the last year after friends suggested I join them for weekly classes. Now, I’m totally addicted! Not only does it make me feel physically stronger but it also makes me feel mentally stronger – it centers me and helps me put things into perspective. The best part is, I do it with some of my favourite people.

I mini motivational tip: ‘when you look the part, you act the part’ , so spunky and fun work-out gear is a must! Below are a couple of cute pieces I’ve been thinking of adding to my collection.
