Growing up in Sydney, Australia I was blessed with beautiful weather, which was ideal for the outdoorsy lifestyle we lived. Every Sunday, dad would pull out the coal BBQ whilst family and friends gathered waiting for the sizzling to begin. Mum would be in the kitchen preparing a smorgasbord of sides that everyone secretly liked as much if not more, than the grilled goods.
Sharing amazing food, drinks and singing along to music whilst we played a competitive game of cards or the board game ‘Trouble’ kept the family entertained till the wee hours. It’s memories like these that make BBQ’s one of my favourite pass-times. Saturday night past was just like this… great company, food, drinks and sing-along music.
My Tips for BBQ dressing are:
– Casual, Cute & Comfortable
– Minimal Makeup (although waterproof mascara is a must)
– Hair up, especially in the Singapore humidity
– Simple (and to a minimum) Jewellery
Wearing: Marni Top, Ginger & Smart Skirt, Country Road Sandals, T&Co necklace, Lovisa Chain necklace.
