Gardens by the Bay is Singapore’s latest tourist attraction, having only opened its doors to the public on June 29th 2012.
I finally had the chance to visit (with the in-laws) and to my surprise I actually enjoyed it. The Gardens currently occupy 54ha (plans estimate 110ha when finalised in 2015) sitting on reclaimed land right beside another major Singaporean attraction; The Marina Bay Sands.
The ‘must see’ attractions include, two dome conservatories; the flower dome and the cloud forest and The Super Tree’s with their impressive panoramic views from the 25m high Skyway Suspension walkway.
If you’re planning to visit The Gardens wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat for the outdoors and if you get cold easily, the climate controlled domes can get a little nippy.
I wore: Converse sneakers, H&M boyfriend shorts, Bonds white singlet, Museum hoodie, Le Spec Aviators, DVF bag.
