Baroque grandeur

I thought I’d start the blog week with a trend alert…. well maybe a trend acknowledgment,  because unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few months (by that I mean: you haven’t picked up a fashion mag, gone shopping or watched any red carpet events) you could not have missed the hottest fall trend – Baroque.

So what exactly is it? Think Marie Antoinette opulence, embroidered details, extravagant decorative patterns and ornamentation; bead-work, jacquard, brocade and lace.

Some of my picks:

J Brand Jeans, Asos Body Suit,  Alexander McQueen Bag, Topshop Peplum Top, Mango Brocade Skirt, Alexander McQueen Dress, Balmain Boots.

I LOVE the Alexander McQueen dress so much (I’ve posted about it previously) I actually bought it in Hong Kong.

P.S I’m back in Singapore after a horrendous flight that landed at 4am this morning (Thus the delayed post).
